Christmas at the Cornish Confetti Agency by Daisy James **Book Review** @rararesources

Greetings book friends!

Another wonderful Christmas book to warm your heart with! This is such a great series- I encourage you to pick them all up curl up with a blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy!

Christmas at the Cornish Confetti Agency

It’s Christmas at The Cornish Confetti Agency!

When Lexie Harrington is asked to choreograph Phoebe and Sam’s Christmas-themed wedding, she can’t wait to create the perfect winter wonderland – elegantly dressed fir trees, glossy garlands of holly and mistletoe, baskets of yule logs and pine cones, and the mouth-watering fragrance of gingerbread, cinnamon sticks and warm mulled wine floating through the air.

With handsome wedding columnist-cum-fledgling scriptwriter Theo Barker at her side, she’s confident that she can create the perfect festive ambience the bride and groom have been dreaming of since their engagement in the Swiss Alps; no rampant hosepipes, no mechanical mice, no confetti-filled hairdryers.

But this is The Cornish Confetti Agency, and the words ‘plain-sailing’ and ‘hassle-free’ do not feature in the promotional brochure. So, when a much-loved portrait of the groom’s father is adorned with pirate eye-patches and black plastic moustaches, and his expensive cologne is switched for toilet cleaner, Lexie and Theo must once again don their metaphorical deerstalkers and unravel the mystery before the wedding dissolves into Christmas-themed chaos and calamity.

A perfect Christmas wedding?
Is there such a thing for The Cornish Confetti Agency?

A glittery, feel-good story perfect for the festive season, and the third book in The Cornish Confetti Agency series.

My Thoughts

Christmas and weddings. Whimsy and chaos. Romance and intrigue. Comfort and joy. Daisy James put the Fa La La in festive with this fabulously dazzling holiday read. This is the third book in this delightful Series; it can probably be red as a standalone but I would encourage you to read the previous books they are pretty fantastic! Lexi is not only planning the perfect Christmas wedding in this book. She is also using her past talents and planning a wedding dress fashion show for her Bestie Freya. Hopeful that everything will go smoothly, but well aware that things tend to happen. This was so much fun! Lexi is just such a great character I’ve loved her from the very first book. She just takes everything as it comes always with so much humor, heart and a smile on her face. Loved watching the romance develop between Theo and Lexi throughout the series. Was loads of fun catching up with Freya and Jasper. A lovely story filled with so much Christmas spirit, old friends and new, gorgeous weddings, glamorous dresses, dazzling decorations, delicious gingerbread. This book was a true gift all wrapped up in pretty paper with the perfect bow on top.

Daisy James loves writing stories with strong heroines and swift-flowing plotlines. She especially likes to create sunshine-filled settings in exotic locations – the Caribbean, Tuscany, Cornwall, Provence – so she can spend her time envisioning her characters enjoying the fabulous scenery and sampling the local food and drink.

When not scribbling away in her peppermint-and-green summerhouse (garden shed), she spends her time sifting flour and sprinkling sugar and edible glitter. She loves gossiping with friends over a glass of something fizzy or indulging in a spot of afternoon tea – china plates and teacups are a must.

Christmas at Aunt Elsies by Emily Harvale **Book Review** @rararesources

Hello lovely book friends!

Can you believe that Christmas is in 47 days? We are in full swing of Christmas reading season and I am definitely here for it! Another great Christmas story from one of my favorite authors!🎄

Christmas at Aunt Elsie’s

A distant relative. A blizzard. A Christmas of surprises.

Lottie Short isn’t looking forward to Christmas. Her boyfriend has dumped her and she’s also lost her job. Lottie and her beloved spaniel, Merry, are facing the festive season – and a bleak future, alone.

But a Christmas card and round-robin letter give Lottie hope. And as the first snowflakes fall, she’s on her way to the tiny seaside village of Seahorse Harbour to visit her distant aunt. She’ll stay in a cosy B&B and get some bracing, sea air. That might lift her spirits.

What she doesn’t plan for is a blizzard, her aunt taking a fall, or the dramas unfolding all around her. But at least there’s a warm welcome at Aunt Elsie’s cottage … and a roaring log fire in the village pub.

That’s not all that might bring a rosy glow to Lottie’s cheeks. Asher Bryant, the local vet is pretty hot, and Lottie also hits it off with another visitor to Seahorse Harbour. This festive season might be better than she hoped.

And when Lottie gets more than one surprise this Christmas, perhaps she and Merry won’t be spending the New Year on their own.

This is book 2 in my new series of standalone novels set in the tiny, seaside village of Seahorse Harbour.

My Thoughts

A snowy small town Romance. It’s Christmas time in Seahorse Bay: Twinklimg lights, Christmas carols, hot chocolate and festive joy. Lottie has lost her parents, been dumped, fired from her job and it’s Christmas time *Bah humbug* Needing A place to stay for the holidays Lottie and her faithful spaniel Merry Head to Seahorse Bay to stay with her aunt Elsie. What follows is a story of secrets, mystery, Romance, and festive cheer.

This is the second book in this standalone series, can absolutely be read without reading the previous book. Emily did a wonderful job of weaving in little Tibbetts from the previous story. Lottie was a wonderful character and I really wanted her to find her way out of the dark. It was nice to see hot vet Asher again, was good to see that he might actually get his HEA. Aunt Elsie once again added color and charm to the story. So grab your favorite blanket, a tasty hot drink and curl up with this engaging story.

The Sranger in the Mirror by Liv Constantine **Cover Reveal** @suzyapbooktours @harperbooks

Happy Sunday y’all!

It’s a great day for a cover reveal! Lovely cover and a super intriguing blurb cannot wait to get my hands on this book! Looks SO darn good!

Coming July 2021

About the Book

A diabolically twisty, psychologically unsettling novel about a woman with no recollection of her past from the authors of the Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Wife Stalker.

Addison’s about to get married, but she’s not looking forward to the big day. It’s not her fiancé; he’s a wonderful man. It’s because Addison doesn’t know who she really is. A few years ago, a kind driver found her bleeding next to a New Jersey highway and rescued her. While her physical wounds healed, Addison’s memory never returned. She doesn’t know her real name. Or how she ended up injured on the side of a road. Or why she can’t shake the notion that she may have done something very, very bad . . .

In a posh home in the Boston suburbs, Julian tries to figure out what happened to his loving, caring wife, Cassandra, who disappeared without a trace two years ago. She would never have left him and their seven-year-old daughter Valentina of her own free will—or would she?

As these two lives intersect, The Stranger in the Mirror hooks readers with riveting drama, told with Liv Constantine’s hallmark blend of glamour, tense psychological thrills, and jaw-dropping twists.
