A Wedding at Wynter House
Wyntersleap series – Book 3
Not everyone at Wynter House is thrilled about this wedding.

Secrets have been revealed and new relationships begun. Now it’s time to look to the future. Neva and Rafe are in love and so are Adam and Hazel. Jo’s love life leaves a lot to be desired, although Gavin could remedy that.

But Rafe’s grandmother, Olivia still hopes that something will tear Rafe and Neva apart. Hazel’s new assignment means nursing someone back to health … and there’s history between them. And Jo’s receiving texts from her ex-fiancé.

Then Rafe’s first wife, Pippa – the woman who broke his heart, unexpectedly arrives. And she’s even more beautiful and irresistible than Rafe remembers.

When everyone is looking to the future, will the past prove to be too strong?

There will be a wedding at Wynter House … but who will be the bride and groom?

My Thoughts

Love this series… please tell me this is not the last book! Emily Harvale has created such a cozy vibe with this delightful series. This series is interlocked with the Merriment Bay series with many characters crossing over into both. I read the latest books from both Series back to back and I think that really enhanced my overall enjoyment. Emily does a good job of recapping previous books in the series, but I do believe the stories are best enjoyed if you read all the books in the series. Additionally you’re going to want to read them all, these are charming stories packed with fabulous characters and an enchanting setting.

This story focuses on Neva and Rafe, Who got together in the previous book. Their relationship is going swimmingly until Rafe’s ex Pippa shows up. I think the storyline I enjoyed most in the book was Jo, Neva’s bestie. I liked her blooming relationship with Ed, and this is why I need another book in the series I need to know what happens between them. A misunderstanding, a break up, an Epiphany, an engagement, a wedding, new love, fish and chips, and Gin. Love spending time with these characters. Reading an Emily Harvale book is like spending time with good friends.

The House Party by Mary Grand **Book Review** @rararesources

Happy Saturday all!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with reading and relaxation!

The House Party

Someone is about to die… Someone is about to lie…

At the intimate house-warming party for her glorious ‘grand design’, Kathleen confides in her best friend Beth that she is terrified of one of their close friends, but daren’t reveal which one. The guests are a tight-knit group, but Kathleen is convinced one of them is dangerous.

The next day Kathleen’s body is found at the foot of a cliff and Beth must face the sickening truth that she may have been killed by one of their trusted friends. With little help from the police, Beth’s decides to seek answers.

All the friends have secrets they are desperate to hide, but only one of them is ready to kill to keep theirs safe…

The House Party is set on the Isle of Wight – insular, claustrophobic, and with nowhere to run. Mary Grand has written a heart-stopping novel of secrets, betrayal and desire, perfect for fans of Louise Candlish and Lucy Foley.

My Thoughts

A tense who done it. Kathleen hosts a housewarming party and while at the party she confides in her friend Beth that someone there is out to kill her. BUT she does not tell Beth who it is. So when Kathleen’s body is found the next day, Beth is shook. Which one of their friends killed Kathleen and why? A house full of suspects and very few clues. Love the premise of the story, knowing your friend has been killed by another one of your friends? I also loved trying to figure out The Who, what, and why right alongside Beth. Unfortunately the pacing was a little slow for my liking and I would’ve liked a little more tension running throughout the story. The ending however was perfection. I love when an ending takes me by surprise, but you can go back and puzzle all the clues logically together.
