Happy happy Tuesday!
One of my absolute favorite tropes is enemies to lovers. Add in some holiday cheer and I am a happy girl. This was another delightful Christmas read!
My Christmas Fake Fiance
Snowflakes are falling on Kissing Bridge Mountain, and Devlin is going home at last. But he can’t go home without a fiance, even if it has to be a fake one! When he meets smalltown girl, Allie, who has a Christmas crisis of her own -they strike up a deal. Soon, the fickle snow flurries of fate send them down a destined road they never expected…
My Thoughts
Enemies to lovers. Fake relationship. Christmas time. What more could a girl ask for? This was such a delightful sweet romance full of humor, heart, and hope. Allie was such a fun character, the girl had me laughing practically from page 1. Allie is heartbroken when she finds out her childhood home is up for sale in order to save the family business. She is determined to save her childhood home no matter what it takes. This leads to her teaming up with billionaire Devlin. Allie is an environmentalist and despises everything that Devlin’s big business stands for. But then she finds herself headed home with Devlin for the holidays, and that is when all the fun begins!
Allie and Devlin are great together. Even though the outcome is predictable I really enjoyed the getting there. The large cast of quirky characters, the holiday vibes, the lovely setting, it all kind of had a fairytale feel to it and would make an excellent Christmas movie. Not to mention it all takes place in a place called Kissing Bridge, that name alone makes me smile! A sweet clean romance reminiscent of a Hallmark movie.
