Hello book friends,
I finally dipped my toe into the spiders web that is Harlan Coben, and now I’m really not sure if I ever want to leave!!

This was my first Harlan Coben book, and judging by this one, it certainly won’t be my last.
Simon loves his daughter Paige, they used to be so close, that was until she ran away, she has been missing for a while and he has been doing his best to find her, but as she is classed as an adult, there isn’t much he can do about it but try and do it all himself.
She got involved with an older man who is abusive, and got herself mixed up with drugs, so she is not eager to come back home, even though her parents have done everything to help her get over this, rehab, counselling etc.
While chatting with a friend, he casually mentions that he had see his daughter in Central Park playing the guitar, so Simon jumps on the case and runs over to Strawberry Fields.
Except, when Paige sees her father she runs away, Simon can’t quite believe that it is his daughter, she looks awful, and the drugs she is on have made a once beautiful girl, into a shell of her former self, she is bedraggled, skinny and pale.
She is obviously in a lot of trouble, and the man who is with her is not helping matters, after getting into a scuffle with him and finding himself on the bad end of a viral video, his life starts to come tumbling down.
Finding a few clues along the way Simon manages to slowly fit the pieces together and start hunting for his daughter.
But things are not always as they seem!

Narrated by Steven Weber who has narrated a few books I have listened to, including IT by Stephen King, you may also recognise his voice from playing the Principal on the 13 Reasons Why TV series on Netflix.
Either way, he was a perfect match for this high intense thriller.
