Sunshine Over Bluebell Castle by Sarah Bennett @sarahlou_writes @rararesources #bookreview #sunshineoverbluebellcastle

Happy Thursday all!

Back to school for my highschooler today! And this is the perfect book to scare away those back-to-school blues! A little romance, a little family drama, a lot of fun!🌞

Sunshine over Bluebell Castle

The summer she will never forget…

Time’s running out for Iggy Ludworth to restore the wild gardens of Camland Castle in time for the Summer Fete, so she ropes in hotshot gardener Will Talbot…

But she regrets her decision as soon as he sets foot in the historic grounds – not only is Will arrogant and bossy, he’s totally gorgeous!

And very soon, sparks are flying amongst the bluebells. Yet with summer nearly over, will their summer fling convince Will and Iggy to go the distance?

Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Rachael Lucas and Hilary Boyd.

My Thoughts

Another and chanting story set in a wonderful whimsical castle. This is the second story in the bluebell castle Trilogy with each story focusing on one of the triplets. While it can be read as a standalone I think for optimum enjoyment you would want to read the first book as well. This is Iggy’s story. Iggy has been tasked with restoring the Castle Gardens to former glory and stat! When she can’t seem to get her vision off the ground she approaches celebrity gardener Will. Will and Iggy don’t get off to the best of starts but just like the flowers in the garden their love begins to bloom (How is that for cheesy). There was not only romance blooming in the story there was also some family drama with the arrival of the triplets mother Helena. Helena was a great character, a lot of fun to hate! This was such a delightful story with a bit of a fairytale vibe. Sarah Bennett has such an easy flow to her writing creating such a fun and flirty story. Looking forward to the next book in the trilogy Tristan‘s story!

The Los Hope by Krista and Becca Ritchie @kbritchie @wednesdaybooks @stmartinspress #bookreview #thelasthope

Happy hump day all!

Loved this book! The perfect blend of sci-fi and romance, just pure entertainment! Thank you so much to Megan for the invitation to the tour!🛸

My Thoughts

Krista and Becca Ritchie have masterfully blended sci-fi and romance in this book, the second installment of this entertaining duology. All the feels in outer space. This is a duology and the first book “The Raging Ones” should definitely be read first. The focus of this book is on the beloved trio from the first book Franny, Court, and Mykal. Imprisoned on an enemy starship with their “last hope” being a baby. There are also some new characters that added a bit of a splash, but honestly I enjoyed my time spent with the trio.

I don’t generally read sci-fi but this was a lot of fun! There was just the perfect amount of world building to keep it interesting, but I was never confused or overwhelmed with it. The characters were all well-developed, engaging, and likable (well most of them). The story was swiftly and perfectly paste, never a dull moment. The Romance was sweet and satisfying. This book was out of my comfort zone, out of this world, and showed me the stars. I’m really looking forward to what this writing duo has in store for us next.

*** thanks Wednesday Books/St Martin’s press for my copy of this book ***

About the Book

BLOG TOUR BOOK INFO

ABOUT THE BOOK:

A stunning conclusion to the sci-fi romance duology by writing duo Krista & Becca Ritchie, The Last Hope is filled with twists and turns you’ll never see coming.

Sacrifice all you have to survive.

Imprisoned for weeks on an enemy starcraft, Franny, Court, and Mykal have sat with an unfathomable revelation. But as they fight to stay alive, escaping prison means trusting a young mysterious stranger. He knows everything about their lost histories, and when answers aren’t given freely, the bonded trio are forced to join a mission. One that will determine the fate of humanity.

Legend says, a baby—the first of her species—has the power to cloak and teleport planets. Tasked with retrieving the infant, Court fears the baby is just a myth, and if they fail, they’ll never find the truth about their origins.

As Court and Mykal grow closer, their linked bond becomes harder to hide, and dynamics change when Franny begins to fall for someone new. Vulnerable and with no choice, the hunt for the baby sends the trio on a dangerous path to Saltare-1: a water world where their enemies can’t die and survival comes at a high cost.
