My Thoughts
Kate Frost wisked me away to Tanzania with her evocative storytelling. Connie is distraught over her recent divorce and decides to head to her aunt’s Beachhouse in Tanzania. Must be nice when I got divorced I moved to an apartment about 10 minutes away from my previous house, LOL! Suppose I should’ve been more distraught! Anyways I digress… The story was so descriptive and the setting was so exotic. Seriously how could you not feel better about life in such exquisite surroundings. Soon enough Connie finds herself in a bit of a love triangle, in the middle of family secrets, and rebuilding her future.
Loved watching Connie grow throughout this book. She was a likable and sympathetic character that you couldn’t help but want the best for. I also really liked her Aunt Bella, and wow there was a bit of a soap opera going on with the family. This really was a book about embracing life and living every single day to its fullest. A book about second chances and learning to love not only another but yourself again. A perfect escapist read. I could feel the sun, smell the food, and hear the wildlife. A lovely vacation in a book. So pull up your beach chair, grab the sunscreen, and spend the day poolside escaping into this exotic romance.

Kate Frost writes character-driven women’s fiction and romances, alongside Time Shifters, an award-winning time travel adventure trilogy for 9-12 year olds.
