Happy Thursday all!
Love this little series! This was another great addition! Thanks Rachel for my invitation to the tour!🧁
A Bakery at the Little Duck Pond Cafe Ellie’s dreams of opening a bakery in Sunnybrook are finally coming true and best friends Fen and Jaz are happily rallying round, helping her to plan a fabulous grand opening day. Everything in their garden seems to be rosy – until the arrival of a newcomer brings chaos to the village and tests relationships to the limit. Can the bakery succeed in the face of such upheaval? And more importantly, can firm friendships survive?
My Thoughts
This series is such a little gem! It is always such a treat to pick up a book in a beloved series, it’s like going home. This is the fifth book in this delightful series, but I believe it can be read as a standalone. I also believe this might be my absolute favorite of the series. Not only did we get to visit old friends, but we also got to make new ones. SunnyBrook sounds like such an enchanting village, I would love to visit eat at the café and walk around the duckpond.
Ellie is finally realizing her dream of opening a bakery. She has gone a little crazy in the spending department and hires both Katie (Katia) and Madison. Katie is quite insecure and is still dealing with how she was treated when she was younger, Madison is colorful and comes across as though she fears nothing. When the girls realize that only one of them will have a permanent position at the bakery things get a little caddy and competitive. And to make things even worse they are also roomies. Can the bakery survive the tension?
Loved that Ellie got to open her dream bakery, and all the yummy goodies made me SO hungry! Loved the introduction of Katie and Madison. Katie was so sweet and vulnerable and your heart just opened up to her. Madison was a little harder to love. I would have liked more of Fen and Jaz, but maybe in the next book? Simply put this is a wonderful series full of charm and wit. The characters are engaging, the setting is charming, and the storyline is entertaining.
*** Big thanks to Rachel and the author for my copy of this book ***

Author Bio Rosie Green has been scribbling stories ever since she was little. Back then they were rip-roaring adventure tales with a young heroine in perilous danger of falling off a cliff or being tied up by ‘the baddies’. Thankfully, Rosie has moved on somewhat, and now much prefers to write romantic comedies that melt your heart and make you smile, with really not much perilous danger involved at all, unless you count the heroine losing her heart in love. Rosie’s brand new series of novellas is centred on life in a village café. Confetti at the Little Duck Pond Cafe will be the sixth in the series Twitter – https://twitter.com/Rosie_Green1988
